On the road
by 9:30 a.m. heading to Ludington to have lunch with my mom. Cruising into Michigan by 11 a.m. Yay!👍

Oops! Not so fast...when we passed through Holland,
Kim wondered if I wanted to stop and see Aunt Butch. She’s his dad’s oldest sister, lives less
than a mile from the highway, and Kim always wants to stop when he’s in the
area. So we did. Spent about an hour with her and it was good
to see that’s she just as feisty as ever.
And it’s probably more fun because she’s feisty at 95. Ninety-five!
She doesn’t hear everything and is a little shorter but not much else
has changed. Same house, same
hospitality, same explosive laugh. Our
lunch date now became a late lunch date but I called my mom and it was no
problem. I’m glad so we stopped to see
Aunt Butch...Kim had a smile on his face the entire time. 😃

I checked on Jack’s walk
across the country and it’s the last time it will be recorded in the
journal. I intend to keep checking in on
him. I feel involved somehow.
It’s hard to know where he’s heading
because his Live Track shows his actual route is different than his stated
planned route. Must assume that he knows what he’s doing...100 days or less is his goal not mine. Anyway, he’s heading towards Carlsbad,
NM. AND on April 4th, he
recorded his 2 millionth stop. 2,000,000
steps!!! He‘s been taking a picture every
day of the stats on Fitbit and posting it to his blog. I think Fitbit owes him a sponsorship or
something. That’s a lot of publicity
right there.

Good to get home. Enjoyed my month away but it’s time to get
back to my life. Looking forward to
continuing my walking, also.
